On September 8, 2016, Bonnie Leoni left us to be with the Lord. She was born on August 9, 1936 to Leslie Valentine Fleetwood and Iva Jane (Roberts) Fleetwood. In listening to her stories of growing up, her childhood was a hard one, but also full of fun and adventure with her eight siblings.

She met and married Vincent Leoni, the love of her life, in Phoenix, AZ in 1956 where they raised three children until 1970 when they packed up and moved to Spokane, WA to be closer to family. She worked several jobs over the course of her life, from the school cafeteria, to realtor, owner of a daycare center, and secretary/receptionist. I believe her favorite job was when she opened a used book store as reading gave her great pleasure. Her other pleasure in life was watching the Seahawks with her son during football season; she loved her Hawks! and her family, she loved all of her family with a pure unconditional type of love, the best kind!

Bonnie is survived by her son; Tony (Patricia), daughter; Cyndi (James), four grandchildren; Christianne, Brittany, Ashton (Hovik), and Tony (Lindsey) plus one great-granddaughter; Zamora, along with her brothers; Don (Sandy), Dick (Jean), and Jerry (Sue), her sister; Madeline (Eldon), and multiple nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sister-in-law; Elaine Fleetwood (widow of Carl), with whom she shared a very close relationship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Vincent, daughter; Lori Leoni-Hall, brothers; Carl, Bill, and Glenn Fleetwood.

There will be a graveside service at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 West Wellesley, Spokane, WA at 2:30 on September 17th. After the service we will be at the El Sombrero, 10117 North Newport Hwy, Spokane, WA for a Mexican dinner in celebration of Bonnie who loved Mexican food and a good margarita!
